Nominee Requirement

The O Six Foundation is committed to recognizing and celebrating the achievements of Canadian Chinese entrepreneurs who have demonstrated resilience, innovation, and growth. To ensure that we honor the most deserving individuals, the following eligibility criteria have been established for The Greatness Entrepreneurship Award.

Leadership Requirement:

  • Leadership Role: Eligible nominees are founders, co-founders, owners, or CEOs of a private or public company, actively engaged in day-to-day operations and strategic direction.

  • Non-Founding Entrepreneurs: Eligible if they exert substantial managerial control and assume associated risks and successes.

  • Leadership Tenure: A minimum two-year tenure in the current leadership role is required by the application deadline.

Business Requirement:

  • Business Maturity: The business should have been operational and officially registered for at least three years.

  • Financial Stability: Businesses must have been profitable in the last fiscal year. For registered charities, not-for-profits, and social enterprises, financial stability and fulfillment of spending quotas are required.

Specific Award Requirement:

  • The Women Entrepreneur Award: This award is for female entrepreneurs who are founders or have significantly impacted their companies. The award recognizes exceptional skill in strategy, operations, finance, problem-solving, innovation, overcoming adversity, and community contribution.

  • The Innovation Award: Focuses on entrepreneurs who have demonstrated remarkable innovation skills, effectively navigated challenges from zero to one, and contributed to the diversity and growth of the Canadian business landscape.
